I have a John Deere 260 backhoe (tractor not included) that's in excellent shape, always garage kept. It will fit on John Deere 1 & 2 series tractor prior to July 2017. In order for this to work on your 1 & 2 series tractor you must have the power beyond hydraulic system. And sub-frame setup required for the backhoe.
